How do I connect Google Sheets?

Open Google integration in WhatChimp and sign in with Google. You can then create a new sheet from WhatChimp or add one you already have. The same sign-in also connects Google Calendar.

Do I need to code?

Not to import contacts, save leads or look a customer up, which are all set up from WhatChimp’s screens. Sending a message when a row changes uses a short Apps Script that you paste into the sheet once.

What does a sheet need for a contact import?

A phone number column with the country code and no plus sign. Every other column is optional and can be mapped to the name, the email or a custom field.

Will every edit to my sheet send a message?

The sheet reports every row that is added or edited, so you add condition rules in WhatChimp to decide which rows actually send a message.

Can the bot read from a sheet during a conversation?

Yes. The Google Sheet Data Fetch step finds the sender’s phone number in the sheet, saves the columns you pick to the contact and lets the bot use them in its reply.
