n8n integration
Put WhatsApp inside your n8n workflows
WhatChimp sends every incoming WhatsApp message to an n8n webhook, and n8n answers through the WhatChimp API. In between, the workflow is yours: your data, your logic, your own AI agent.
- Incoming messages delivered to n8n’s Webhook node
- Replies sent with the HTTP Request node
- Run your own AI agent on your own infrastructure

Watch it work
See WhatChimp connected to an n8n AI agent
The whole connection, from the webhook to the first reply.
Two nodes are all it takes
A Webhook node to listen, an HTTP Request node to answer.
Receive messages
Every incoming message reaches your workflow
Paste your Webhook node’s production address into WhatChimp and each new WhatsApp message arrives in n8n as it is sent.
- Set in WhatChimp’s bot configuration, per number
- Sent as a POST request, ready for the next node
- The message and who sent it arrive together
Your own AI agent
Let your own agent write the answer
Between the two nodes you can run any model and any tool you like, so the answer comes from your data, on your infrastructure.
- Use the model, memory and tools you choose
- Look things up in your own systems first
- Turn off WhatChimp’s built-in AI agent so only one answers
Reply through the API
Send the answer back with one request
An HTTP Request node calls the WhatChimp send API with your token, your number’s ID, the customer’s phone and the message.
- Four fields: token, number ID, phone and message
- Approved templates for messages outside the 24-hour window
- The reply appears in your shared inbox like any other
Everything else
Connect WhatsApp to the rest of your stack
Once a message is inside n8n it can go anywhere n8n goes: your CRM, your database, your help desk.
- Save every lead where your team already works
- Branch on what the customer wrote
- Call any other WhatChimp API endpoint when you need it
- 0% markup fees
- Official WhatsApp API
- Meta Business Partner

Is there a WhatChimp node for n8n?
No. You connect the two with nodes n8n already includes: a Webhook node receives events from WhatChimp, and an HTTP Request node calls the WhatChimp API.
Do I need to code?
You do not write code, but you should be comfortable configuring a webhook and an HTTP request: an address, a method and a few fields.
Does it work with self-hosted n8n?
Yes. WhatChimp only needs an address it can reach, so a self-hosted n8n works as long as its webhook address is reachable from the internet.
Can I use my own AI agent instead of WhatChimp’s?
Yes. Send incoming messages to n8n, let your agent write the answer and reply through the API. Turn off WhatChimp’s built-in AI Agent for that number first, so only one of them answers.
What does the reply request need?
Your API token, the ID of your WhatsApp number, the customer’s phone number and the message. Outside the 24-hour window, send an approved template.
