The full setup, from the plugin to the first recovered cart.
The two moments that decide a sale
Set each one up once. It then runs on every cart and every order.
Abandoned cart recovery
Follow up on every cart that was left behind
When a customer adds products, enters their contact details and leaves without paying, your store tells WhatChimp and a reminder goes out on WhatsApp.
- A small plugin from WhatChimp reports abandoned carts
- The billing phone number becomes the WhatsApp number
- A delay and conditions decide when the reminder sends
Cash on delivery confirmation
Confirm cash on delivery orders in one tap
A new cash on delivery order sends the customer its product list and total, with two buttons: confirm or cancel.
- Only cash on delivery orders trigger it, by a rule on the payment method
- The product list and total price fill the template
- Confirm Order and Cancel Order are quick reply buttons
Order notes
The answer goes back to the order
When the customer taps a button, WhatChimp writes a note on the order in WooCommerce, so whoever packs it knows what was said.
- Nobody copies answers from WhatsApp by hand
- Your packing team sees the customer’s answer on the order
- The whole conversation stays in the shared inbox

Frequently asked questions
We’re here to answer all your questions
What teams ask before they start. Can’t find your answer? See every question or chat with our team.
Do I need to code to connect WooCommerce?
No. Cart recovery uses a small plugin you download from WhatChimp and install in WordPress, and cash on delivery confirmation uses a webhook you add in WooCommerce’s own settings. Both are copy and paste.
When does a cart count as abandoned?
When a customer adds products to the cart, enters their contact details including a phone number, and leaves without completing the payment.
How does cash on delivery confirmation work?
A new order with cash on delivery as its payment method sends the customer a WhatsApp template with the product list and total, and two buttons to confirm or cancel. Their answer is written back to the order as a note.
Which phone number is the message sent to?
The billing phone number the customer entered at checkout, so your checkout needs to ask for one.
Can I decide which orders send a message?
Yes. Condition rules on any field of the order, such as the payment method, decide whether a message is sent.
