Prerequisites #
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- A WhatsApp Business Account connected to WhatChimp.
- An idea of your carousel content, including images, videos, text, and buttons.
- An eCommerce store connected (if using the Carousel Product Template).
1. Creating a Carousel Media Template #
- Go to WhatChimp’s dashboard → Click ‘Bot Manager’ → Select ‘Message Templates’.

- Click ‘Create’ and choose ‘Carousel Media Template’.
- Set up your template:
- Name it and select ‘Marketing’ as the category.
- Add a message bubble and choose Image or Video for each card.
- Add text for the card body.
- For each card in the carousel, you can add up to two buttons.Keep the same button order for all cards.Choose between URL and Quick Reply options based on your needs.
- There are., ‘Button Type’, ‘Button Text’ & ‘Action Value’ options available. In the ‘ Button Type’, you can add either a ‘ URL’ or a ‘Quick Reply’.
Note- Make sure to maintain the same order for your cards. For instance, if you add one url & one quick reply on one card, you have to follow the same order for the other cards.
- Submit for approval.
- Once approved, go to ‘Bot Reply’, create a bot flow, add a keyword, and link your carousel template.It will look like this.
That’s all. You are all good to go with your bot setup & start sending your carousel templates with media.
Tip- Sending Video with the carousel media template is easy as well. All you have to do is change the ‘Card Header’, from Image to Video and follow the same steps as above.
