1. Importing Your Subscriber List #
Importing from a CSV File #
To get started, import your subscriber list with the necessary data:
- Navigate to the WhatsApp Subscriber Manager from the WhatChimp’s dashboard.
- Select the WhatsApp account you’ll be using if you have multiple WhatsApp accounts connected.
- Click on the option button and then select ‘Import Subscribers.’
- Download the sample CSV template, which includes columns for phone numbers and names. Modify it by adding extra columns for custom variables if needed.
- Ensure proper formatting by adding a single quote at the beginning of any special data or changing the cell format to text before saving and uploading the CSV.
Importing from Google Sheets #

After uploading, review the first two records to ensure accuracy. You can assign a label to the imported subscribers; if left blank, the file name will be used as the label
2. Mapping Subscriber Data #
Once uploaded, the next step is to map subscriber data:
- Click on ‘Map Data’ to open two fields: ‘File Header’ and ‘Data Field.’
- On the ‘File Header,’ select the corresponding column name from the CSV file.
- On the ‘Data Field,’ assign the appropriate subscriber field.
- Ensure all columns, including custom field data, are properly mapped.
Important: Before mapping the CSV file, ensure that custom fields have already been created in WhatChimp. To create a new custom field check this doc or follow the steps below:
- Go to WhatsApp Subscriber Manager.
- Select ‘Manage’ → ‘Manage Custom Fields.’
- Click ‘Create,’ provide a field name, choose a reply type, and save it.
After mapping, click ‘Confirm’ to finalize.
3. Creating Custom WhatsApp Message Templates #
To create a personalized message template:
- Navigate to WhatsApp Bot Manager.
- Select your account and go to the ‘Message Template’ section.
- Click ‘Create’ to generate a new template.
- Name the template, choose your locale, and select the appropriate category.
- In the message body, incorporate custom variables to personalize messages.
- Save the template and verify its approval status before use.
4. Launching a Broadcasting Campaign #
Now it’s time to launch your personalized campaign:
- From the left-hand navigation menu, go to ‘WhatsApp Broadcasting’ and click ‘Create.’
- Name your campaign and select ‘Anytime’ for sending.
- Choose the message template created in Step 3.
- In ‘Include Label IDs,’ select the label assigned to the subscriber list.
- Verify the number of targeted subscribers, then click ‘OK.’
- Double-click on ‘Start Bot Flow,’ name your bot flow, and save it.
